At Forward Emphasis, sustainability is becoming an integral part of how we operate, serve our clients and support our people. We are proud to introduce our Sustainability Charter, a commitment to reducing our environmental impact while strengthening our operational resilience and ESG performance.
As a managed services provider operating from our Malin Head facility, we recognise that energy consumption, carbon emissions and responsible resource management are key sustainability priorities. Through our charter, we are focusing on reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by improving energy efficiency, transitioning to cleaner energy sources and embedding sustainable practices throughout our operations.
We have already implemented several initiatives, including enhanced waste segregation, reduced paper usage, toner recycling, the removal of single-use plastics and the transition towards hybrid fleet vehicles. These actions have helped create a more environmentally conscious workplace while engaging employees in our sustainability journey.
Looking ahead, our ambitions include the installation of a 75kWp Solar PV system, improved building energy management systems, enhanced staff energy awareness programme, sustainable product sourcing and expanded recycling initiatives that support both environmental goals and local charities.
Our sustainability programme aligns with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including Affordable & Clean Energy, Responsible Consumption & Production, Climate Action, Good Health & Wellbeing, Quality Education and Gender Equality.
By acting today, we are not only reducing our carbon footprint but also building a more resilient business, supporting our employees, meeting stakeholder expectations and contributing to Ireland’s transition to a low-carbon future.
